Keep this rule in mind when interacting with your children. It's the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you would like to be treated. And it's key to a happy and productive school environment. One of the best ways to teach your children this rule is to apply it to your own interactions with them. Ask yourself, "Would I want this done to me?" If your answer is "no" (I wouldn't want to be scolded in front of others, for example), then ask, "Why would I want to do this to my children?"
