Good Afternoon:

We wanted to reach out to all our families to provide you with a few updates regarding school. Although we don’t have answers to all of the questions we have been getting, we do have some information to share.

First of all, our teachers are continuing to develop new lessons and provide additional optional activities for students. There are several new math options on The Hub and other subject areas will be out in the coming week. Hopefully your child’s grade level/course level teachers are reaching out to you to share updates and information during this time period.

We have also developed a timeline for students/families to come to school and pick up their personal belongings. The week of May 11-15 each student/family will be scheduled to come to school to get their things. Your child’s building principal will be communicating with each family to arrange a specific time for the collection of personal items. Look for an email on this topic sometime next week.

If you have a student who is graduating, you will (or already have) received a survey to take regarding your preference on postponing graduation or holding the ceremony in a virtual format. Look for that survey in your inbox today.

We know many of you are wondering about what our school calendar will look like for next year. We are working on possible revisions to the 20-21 calendar, but we aren’t able to finalize things at this time. There are many questions that we are unable to answer that impact our ability to change the calendar including budgetary factors, staff contracts, and lack of guidance from the state on the requirements of our Return to Learn Plan. We will continue to work through these issues and communicate any 20-21 calendar revisions as soon as they are finalized.

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy and keeping a positive outlook through this challenging time. Take care of yourself and your family.
