Tip Tuesday
Even teens who want to break a bad habit often can't. They've been "conditioned" to do something because they get pleasure, or avoid displeasure, by doing it. To break a bad habit, help your teens discover and address the reasons behind it. Arm them with reasons why the habit is harmful and think of more positive ways they could respond to triggers. Remember, even small improvements reinforce change.
