Tip Tuesday
Kids who know how to listen and express themselves tend to do better in school. They also have an easier time making friends. The best way to help children develop these skills is by example. Therefore, focus on the following when communicating with them:
  1. When they talk to you, give them your full attention.
  2. Look at them when they speak.
  3. Make sure they are looking at you.
  4. Listen without judgment.
  5. Ask questions to show your interest.
  6. Remember details so you can follow up later.
  7. When you speak, use a gentle, indoor voice.
